AISIA Extensive Research Assistant Program 2023
AISIA generate the most suitable training programs in Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, and Scientific Computing for our students. We collaborate with well-known universities and research institutes for doing research and student exchange.
Introduction
AISIA Research Lab is one of the up-and-coming research labs in applied machine learning. AISIA has accompanied and guided many students in research and published in reputable journals and conferences. Furthermore, AISIA also successfully supported more than 20 students in their applications for doctoral studies at many universities worldwide. Additionally, AISIA’s team of experienced mentors and researchers also helped many businesses in various data science projects with many applications.
Program Objectives
In 2023, the AISIA Extensive Research Assistant program is organized to create a professional research environment to facilitate students working on various projects in data science and artificial intelligence. Another aim of this program is to help prepare students with research skills and knowledge before studying Master or Ph.D. abroad.
Suitable candidates:
Suitable candidates:
- 3rd or 4th-year undergraduate students or graduate students.
- Have a major related to data science, artificial intelligence, computer science, mathematics, and statistics.
- Have a strong motivation to look for Master/Ph.D. fellowships abroad after the program.
Entry requirements:
- Foundational knowledge and skills in machine learning, data science (including concepts, methodologies, commonly used tools, and techniques) as well as mathematics and statistics.
- Experience in deep learning or having scientific publication(s) is an advantage.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in research projects at AISIA, with guidance from mentors.
- Attend regular meetings with mentors, weekly seminars, and complete reports regarding research progress.
- Program duration: 6 to 12 months
Expected outcomes:
- Scientific publication(s) at relevant and reputable journals and conferences.
- Strong support from mentors for scholarship applications at reputable universities and/or research institutes worldwide.

Application Process
There are two ways to apply to the AERA Program:

Regular application: Candidates directly apply using the form on this website (relevant information, curriculum vitae, and letters of motivation will be asked). Once the applications are received, AISIA will review the applicant's profiles and schedule an interview to assess the applicant’s qualifications, experiences, and research interests.
- Referral: Current or former members of the AISIA AERA Program or partner organizations may refer candidates to AISIA. After receiving the referral, AISIA will conduct an interview to assess the candidates similarly to regular applications.
Being accepted as an official member of the program will entail a membership certificate as well as full rights and responsibilities according to the program.
